Who We Are
The Smith College Club of the Peninsula is a group of Smith alumnae of all ages and professions who continue to be enthusiastic about Smith College and meeting other Smith alumnae. Our club area includes every city on the Peninsula from the southern border of San Francisco to the northern border of Monterey. There are more than 1,500 Smith alumnae in the Bay Area and over 600 of them call the Peninsula home. Our three goals are to connect, support, and engage.
Connect
We strive to connect Peninsula-area alumnae with each other and the College through educational and social events.
Support
We support the future of Smith College by recruiting top candidates from the Peninsula and helping them through the entire admissions process.
Engage
We actively support current Smithies from the Peninsula through our exam care packages program and local social events.
Our events generally fall into three categories:
Smith Traditions
Mountain Day celebration, afternoon teas, incoming student party
Cultural, Artistic, and Educational
Faculty lectures and monthly book club
Group Activities
Happy hours, community service opportunities, networking and career building
Club Events take place throughout the year. Club Members receive proactive Evites to most events, and all events are listed in the monthly newsletter and on our social media channels. All local alumnae are welcome to events and can request details about any event by contacting us at thepeninsulaclub@gmail.com. Please feel free to contact the Club with questions, ideas, and suggestions for activities. We welcome your involvement!
